March Break 2019: Free Programs for Kids
No plans for March Break? There's plenty to do at Toronto Public Library. All branches have at least one special event to add some excitement to your week.
Look through the March Break program listings on the website. There are STEM-themed programs, Magic, Music, Puppetry & Theatre, Camps, French programs, and so much more.
Be sure to check the website, or call the branch, to see whether you need to pre-register for a program, pick up a free ticket, or just drop-in.
And leave enough time to choose some books, DVDs, and magazines to keep the kids busy at home.
Children's Websites
If you can’t get to the library, visit us online. There are two websites for children:
Ready for Reading (for birth to 5 years) and the new TPL Kids (for 6-12 years).
After March Break, enjoy StoryJam at the Toronto Reference Library, conveniently located one block north of the Bloor-Yonge subway station. This day of family storytelling is part of the 2019 Toronto Storytelling Festival and includes folktales from around the world with national and international storytellers. There is no need to register – just drop in from 11 am to 4 pm to hear some wonderful stories.
