Celebrate Family Literacy Month at the Library!

January marks Family Literacy Month at Toronto Public Library and we’re inviting you and your family to join in the celebration! We’ve planned a month packed with fun, free programs to enjoy at your local library branches, created a mini reading challenge and assembled a list of wonderful reads.

Literacy is a family affair and the entire family plays a very important role in supporting literacy development. But literacy is more than just reading books! Other fun and simple activities such as play and music can support children’s literacy development and a love of reading. Visit your local library branch throughout the month of January for fun programs.
