Internet and Computers at Lillian H. Smith branch
Like all TPL branches, we have computers for public use where you can surf the web and write documents, create spreadsheets or PowerPoint presentations. And just like the other branches, we have free wifi (wireless internet).
Here's an overview of the computers and printers at Lillian H. Smith branch.
On the ground floor, we have 4 computers just for kids. There is a printer – kids should ask staff for help.
On the second floor, we have 5 reservable computers, including one with screen magnification (Zoomtext) for vision-impaired. We have four 15-minute express workstations which do not require library cards. First-come, first-served. All computers are attached to the 2nd floor printer near the Information Desk.
On the third floor, the Learning Centre has twenty reservable computers, two Kids' Space computers and one for reserving a computer or checking the library website. These are all attached to our brand new printer.
You can use USB drives (flash drives / thumb drives) to save or access your documents. Our computers do not accept diskettes.
