 Celebrate the freedom to read!

Banned Books Week 2013

September 22 – 28th

Each year, the American Library Association's Office for Intellectual Freedom
compiles a
list of the top ten most frequently challenged books
in order to
inform the public about censorship in libraries and
schools.
The ALA condemns censorship and works to ensure free access to
information.

Celebrating 30 years of supporting the freedom to read, check out
this timeline of banned books of the past three decades.

Find out if your favourite book has been banned or challenged by exploring
the top ten lists of the 21st century here.

Is your favourite book on the list?
