You can get well known ESL test guides like TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC at the library.  If you want to apply for university or college in Ontario, or apply for a job overseas, you may need a good score from one of these tests.  The test guides are usually books with CDs to go with them.

TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language

Toefl

IELTS – International English Language Testing Service

Toeic

TOEIC – Test of English for International Communication

Ielts

The library has all the newest versions of these test guides.  At Toronto Reference Library,  on the 5th floor,  there are listening booths where you can practice with the books and listen to the CDs that go with them.  Drop in any time and study on your own.   There are always lots of copies for you to use.  Just ask the staff at the Languages Desk to show you.

You can also borrow these test guides, so that you can study at home.    Look them up on the library website and use the name of the test in the Keyword search bar.

You might have to wait to get a copy, because these test sets are VERY popular.
