Interested in some workshops and information sessions?
March is ending, but there are a couple of interesting workshops and information sessions at Lillian H. Smith library.
On March 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., come for a newcomer orientation workshop series on Workplace Safety & Insurance. The workshop is in Mandarin. You'll learn about the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB), your rights and responsibilities, your employer's responsibilities and have your questions answered.
On March 30, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., there is a life skills workshop for immigrant women on Assertiveness Training. You'll learn what it is to be assertive and how it can help you both at work and in your personal life.
