You've rented a place – now you're a Tenant. One of your next steps is to find out about Tenant's Rights and Responsibilities. This free information session is on Wednesday August 11, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Parliament St. Branch. You will learn about:
- Your rights and responsibilities as a tenant
- What leases are legal and which ones are not
- Guidelines for rent increases
- Discrimination in housing
- Deposits, maintenance and evictions
- Termination of leases
