New to Canada

Toronto International Film Festival was founded in 1976, and slowly transformed from a local, independent event to one of the biggest and the most prestigious festivals in the world (some fans actually complain that TIFF is losing its independent touch…).

Today it is a major industry event with over 300 new movies in ten days, frequently visited by numerous filmmakers and celebrities. They might be familiar with Toronto anyway, with so many flicks shot over here 🙂 The festival is accompanied by a number of related events, many of them free! (you can find a complete list here).
