FREE Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC)

Do you live in western part of Toronto and would like to improve your writing, vocabulary or pronunciation skills? Weston library is offering free English LINC classes for newcomers:

LINC level 1 to 3 (Tuesdays 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesdays 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.).

LINC level 4 to 6 (Saturdays 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.).

The instructor will assess your level and assign you to the proper group; drop-in tutoring is also available, one hour prior to beginning of each class. If you would like to register (or have any questions) please call the Weston branch at 416-394-1016

  1. What a great idea, I think that many people who can speak english are not great when it comes to writing or spelling. This can be for many reasons, but if one is willing to learn then one should be encouraged.

  2. Quite True. English Writing or spelling is totally a different mastery. I think in some area of work, it is more important to know how to write well. If you are in sales, speaking well may be more important.

  3. Hey I think that the only way to learn a language is to take lessons and practice, this is a good idea, it is a pitty that all countries do not have good ideas like this.
