Toronto Public Library offers many services, all free, to help you get settled in Toronto. If you’re new to the library, you can learn more in this free guide to library information in Hungarian.
Did you know that there are two library branches that carry Hungarian materials at the Toronto Public Library? You’ll find large collections (1,500 or more items) at Toronto Reference Library and Barbara Frum.
With thousands of books, CDs, DVDs and magazines to choose from, make Toronto Public Library the first place you visit if you want to read Hungarian books, watch Hungarian movies, or learn Hungarian.
You can also use your library card to watch Hungarian movies from home by logging onto Hoopla. Here are some of the available titles:
Don’t have a library card yet? Don’t worry! Get your free library card by visiting any Toronto Public Library branch with valid and current name and address identification.
If you or someone you know wants to learn Hungarian, the library also has instructional books, audiobooks, and DVDs that can help. Mango Languages has a Hungarian online course, which is free to use with a Toronto Public Library card.
