Looking for Your Scottish Roots in Ontario?
For the months of June and July, North York Central Library’s Canadiana Department (6th floor) has prepared a display in support of the Ontario Genealogical Society’s popular and sold out Scottish Family History Workshop held June 18th featuring renowned UK genealogist Christopher Paton.
On display are a number of key materials to help assist family historians interested in finding their Scottish Roots in Ontario. Resources include: General Works on Scottish family history research, Passenger Lists, Parish Records, Church Registers, Cemetery Records, Family Histories, Maps and Gazetteers and a few sample records from the Library’s subscription database Ancestry Library Edition available for use in all Toronto Public Library Branches. The display also mentions Scottish family history materials are available at the Toronto Reference Library.
