Visual artist and director Zhang Huan blends a baroque aesthetic with the splendor of China in Handel's opera of endless pleasures. Using an actual Ming Dynasty ancestral temple as his canvas, Huan paints a breathtaking and playful picture to accompany Handel's sensuous score.
