Out of the Blue: Jan Wong to launch new book at the North York Central Library
Journalist and author Jan Wong will be launching her new book
Out of the Blue: a memoir of workplace depression, recovery, redemption and, yes, happiness
on Monday May 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the North York Central Library.
At the height of her professional life, Jan Wong’s career came crashing down. An article she wrote sparked a violent backlash, including death threats; she parted ways with her employer and for the first time in her life she spiraled into clinical depression.
Out of the Blue is a surreal, wrenching, sometimes hilarious and ultimately triumphant story of one woman’s struggle to come to terms with depression.
To learn more about this book's backstory, read the article in the current issue of Quill & Quire.
Join us in the auditorium at 7:00 p.m. on Monday May 7.
Jan Wong will be interviewed by Matt Galloway, host of CBC Radio One's Metro Morning.

Do we need to reserve a ticket (for this free event) in advance, or just show up?
