The booklets in the City of Toronto's Biodiversity Series are fantastic resources for anyone interested in learning about the amazing variety of plant and animal life in our city.

The plan is to produce seven booklets. Four have already been released: Birds of Toronto , Butterflies of Toronto, Fishes of Toronto and, most recently, Spiders of Toronto.

Live Green Toronto is marking the publication of Spiders of Toronto with a talk in its afternoon Speaker Series at the North York Central Library on Tuesday October 2 at 12:30 pm.

Tom Mason, Curator of Birds and Invertebrates at the Toronto Zoo, will enlighten the audience with facts, images and insights about the spiders that call Toronto home. Feel free to bring your lunch as well as your curiousity to this informal noon time talk. Copies of Spiders of Toronto will be available.
