Type 2 diabetes is one of the most common of the so-called lifestyle disorders. The Canadian Diabetes Association calls it a global epidemic.

If you have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, prediabetes or metabolic syndrome the good news is that a lot of support is available to help you learn how to manage your condition.

On Tuesday November 6, the North York Central Library is presenting Managing Your Diabetes.  Public health educators from the Anne Johnston Health Station will discuss the importance of nutrition, exercise, monitoring and medication in the management of diabetes. Learn how to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle as you live with this condition. And get answers to your questions.

Nurses will be on hand to perform screening tests.

Join us at the North York Central Library at 7:00 pm on Tuesday November 6 for Managing Your Diabetes.
