Free Science Events in Toronto for January 2013
The Science and Technology Department of North York Central Library compiles a monthly calendar of free science events in Toronto. Applied science includes health, gardening, pets and food; all subjects found in the department's collections. Here is the January Calendar.
This month's highlights include:
- January 11: Malaysian Bazaar 2013, a one-of-a-kind event to promote Malaysian culture and their phenomenal foods.
- January 13: Rouge Park’s 10th Annual Winter Bird Count, counting all birds seen and heard at Rouge Park.
- January 13: Medicine – A Glimpse of the Future, a discussion on how comprehensive prevention, based on conventional and genetic factors, could eliminate heart disease in this century.
- January 28: Seasonal Indoor Plants, an opportunity to ask questions and learn about your indoor house plants from an expert.
