Award-winning journalist and broadcaster Sandra Martin will discuss the literature of the World War I era, tracing the literary trajectory from jingoistic patriotism at war's beginning to disillusion and cynicism by its end. 

All Quiet on the Western Front            Three Day Road           Regeneration
 
Book Buzz, Toronto Public Library's virtual book club, will be
hosting online discussions of three pivotal World War I novels.
In September the book discussed will be
All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque.
Three Day Road by Joseph Boyden will be featured in October
and the series will close with our November discussion of
Pat Barker's Regeneration.
