OCAD professor Dr. Francis Broun is a witty lecturer whose talks on Rubens and Rembrandt have captivated his listeners. His unique perspective has audiences excited, laughing, talking to each other and definitely wanting more. Many participants told TPL staff that they love the library for lectures like this; libraries are identifiable places in the community and they are accessible. Don't miss the Broun's Vermeer lecture at Palmerston, Tuesday, September 28, 6:30 pm.

In November, Forest Hill hosts The Great Books with Dr. Bruce Meyer starting Saturday, November 6, 10:30 am, and at Runnymede, Rick Phillips, host of CBC's Sound Advice will speak on classical music in Music Through the Centuries, starting Wednesdays, November 10, 10:30 am.

For more lively lectures and discussion at branches across the city, go to Thought Exchange.
