Between 5,000 and 15,000 gay men–identified by the pink triangle– were sent to the concentration camps of Nazi Germany, many to
die there. After the war, this bitter history was for decades ignored.
Author Ken Setterington talks about his work on this book and why he
wrote it for young adults.

  1. Never mind the Jews. Never mind the 3 million Polish Catholics.
    Let’s talk about the gays, and nothing but the gays. And let’s ignore the fact that there was a huge gay network within the S.A., that organization that was seminal (ha ha) to the rise of Naziism in Germany.
