Don't miss The SCOOP – Creative Networking: Connecting Artists with Space & Funds on April 9, 2014, from 5:30 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. at Lillian H. Smith Branch (239 College St., east of Spadina).

Culture days_thescoop_FinalIf you are interested in taking part in Culture Days and would like to learn more about cultural programming in the Library, this is a great way to do it.

This art-filled event will help you to connect with people from Culture Days, Neighbourhood Arts Network and the Toronto Arts Council and it's a great opportunity for networking and meeting other artists and cultural programmers.

Attendees will get the inside scoop on how to find free space for Culture Days activities through Culture Days @ the Library and connect to programming opportunities through the Toronto Public Library.

In addition artists will learn more about the Neighbourhood Arts Network BMO Seeds Fund for community engaged artists and funding opportunities through the Toronto Arts Council. Submit Your Culture Days at the Library Proposal CultureDays2013(PRINT)-2

This is a great time to work up your Culture Days at the Library proposal. Please read the Call for Participation which explain the guidelines.The main criterion is that the activities must be participatory and interactive.

This year, Culture Days at the Library is set to be bigger than ever with at least 54 separate venues. The list of branches that are planning to participate has just grown by five with the addition of Pleasant View, Spadina Road, Jane/SheppardCedarbrae and Evelyn Gregory.

The deadline for proposals is April 23 and over the next month, the staff in the branches will make their selections and contact artists to make arrangements.
