The Travelling Cellist: Keep Toronto Reading

March 10, 2014 | Alex | Comments (0)

For 22 days, cellists from the Toronto Symphony Orchestra will perform Albinoni’s Adagio, the same piece performed by the cellist in The Cellist of Sarajevo, at 22 iconic locations across the city. Through these performances, Toronto Public Library invites you to imagine what the cellist’s actions came to mean to the people of Sarajevo. Hear the beauty of the music, celebrate our city’s landmarks, and experience the illuminating power of art.

Bring your e-reader or tablet and download the first two chapters of The Cellist of Sarajevo and The Confabulist, Steven Galloway's new novel.

Post a photo of the cellist performing on Twitter or Instagram @torontolibrary with #keeptorontoreading for your chance to win an iPad Mini, copies of The Confabulist, and Toronto Symphony Orchestra tickets. Details here.

Where will the cellist play tomorrow?
