Just buy a plane ticket and go!
Tomorrow, Friday, May 9 at the Jane/Dundas branch, at 2 pm, you can hear Heather Greenwood Davis, columnist and traveller extraordinaire, talk about her amazing adventures.
Heather is living proof that extensive world travel is not just for university students taking a break or well-heeled retirees. A couple of years ago, she and her young family decided that they could indeed walk away from their lives in Toronto–day-jobs, school and all the other daily humdrum–and travel around the world. In her talk, Fulfill Your Travel Dreams, Heather will explain why they did this, and how.
A few weeks ago, Heather wrote about the challenges and pleasures of travelling with one's children. Her top tip? "Get kids travelling as early as possible. We went from car trips to see grandma to all-inclusives to Machu Picchu to a year around the world, all before they were 10." You can read the entire column in the Globe and Mail or go to Heather's own website, Globetrotting Mama (look at Heather's Travel Writing).
Don't miss this opportunity to hear Heather speak and above all, pepper her with questions. Perhaps there is a world trip in your future!
