Teen Review: The Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle
Review by Dayton
The Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle, by Rick Riordan, takes place in New York. Zeus blames Apollo for causing the war with Gaea, so he makes him a mortal and kicks him out of Mount Olympus. Apollo discovers that he is now a sixteen-year-old boy named Lester Papadopoulos. He even makes a new friend, named Meg McCaffrey. Together, they’ll have to face countless obstacles to find the Oracle of Delphi. But, someone named Nero is trying to stop them. Unfortunately for Apollo, Meg is Nero’s daughter, so she betrays him. Will Apollo still find the Oracle? Will he survive? To be continued…
I rate this novel a 5 out of 5 because it has everything – violence, love, betrayal, tragedy, victory and more. Some characters from the Heroes of Olympus series are also in this novel. I can’t wait to read the second novel The Dark Prophecy!
