Last Call: Submit A Manuscript for Writer-in-Residence, playwright David Young
The deadline is fast approaching for submissions to the Fall 2011 Writer-in-Residence program. Manuscripts will be accepted until Saturday, September 3, 2011.
Are you interested in playwriting or screenwriting? Have you already started working on a piece? Get expert feedback from the acclaimed David S. Young, our Fall 2011 Playwright in Residence.
Writers are welcome to submit a play or screenplay for feedback.
David S. Young will read your writing and meet with you to discuss what is working and what might need further development. A select number of applicants will be eligible for a seven-week workshop series with the Playwright in Residence
Submitting a manuscript does not guarantee a meeting with the Playwright in Residence. Meetings are by appointment only. The library also reserves the right to limit the number of manuscripts accepted.
Manuscripts should meet the following criteria:
- The first 20 pages of a play or screenplay
- Submissions should be in an acceptable play, screenplay or script format
- Typed or word-processed on one side of each page (handwritten manuscripts will not be accepted)
- Use 12 point or larger Times New Roman typeface only
- No email copies accepted.
- Please don't send in originals.
Please include: your name, address, email address and telephone number on your cover page. There is a limit of one submission per person.
