Blue Jays Fever and the Toronto Star Photograph Archive
What better way to celebrate the Toronto Blue Jays' monumental American League Division Series win on October 14 than to take a little stroll down memory lane…
Luckily, the Toronto Star Photograph Archive is full of images capturing the key moments on and off the field during the Jays’ epic 1992 and ‘93 World Series-winning seasons. Donated to the Toronto Public Library in 2014, the archive includes over a million images published in Canada’s largest daily newspaper.
From a jubilant Joe Carter celebrating the 1992 World Series win in Atlanta, to scenes of Yonge Street packed with ecstatic fans─here is just a small selection of images from the last time Toronto was this gaga for the Jays.

You can access the Toronto Star Photograph Archive and see many more photographs from the heyday of Blue Jays fever by visiting the Marilyn & Charles Baillie Special Collections Centre on the 5th floor of the Toronto Reference Library.
