Are there any baseball fans out there?! Are there any Blue Jays fans out there?!

The Marilyn & Charles Baillie Special Collections Centre received a donation of Blue Jays ephemera and memorabilia earlier this year from an avid Jays fan, who wanted the collection to be housed in Toronto, and available to the public.

Baseball enthusiasts and anyone else craving a glimpse into Blue Jays history can peruse thousands of baseball cards featuring both major and minor league players, organized in binders by year.

Schedules, newsletters, souvenir brochures, tickets, buttons, media guides, programs, statistics and assorted Blue Jays publications round out the collection.

The collection dates from 1977, when the Blue Jays joined the American League East, to 1994. See some cool material documenting five American League East Division Championships in 1985, 1989, 1991, 1992 and 1993 and two World Series wins, in 1992 and 1993.

The collection can be viewed in the Marilyn & Charles Baillie Special Collections Centre on the 5th floor of the Toronto Reference Library. Ok Blue Jays – let’s play ball!
