A workshop designed especially for newcomers to Canada, Library Settlement Partnerships and Toronto Public Library will present a program on Healthy Eating for Life in Canada.

Wednesday, September 7, 1:00 – 3:00 Toronto Reference Library Discussion Room, 3rd floor.

This session addresses access to healthy food, food and its relation to health outcomes, Canada's Food Guide, strategies for healthy eating, and how to make a healthy meal. 

Toronto Public Library offers a huge range of resources on the topics of cooking and nutrition. Here are a few examples.

  1. Love the Superfood Sandwiches book – I borrowed this from the library last year and ended up purchasing the book for long term reference. As someone who’s on the road for long periods of time, I need to make healthy and easy food options.
