Radical Transformation: Oligarchy, Collapse, and the Crisis of Civilization
On Tuesday, September 19th, Kevin MacKay will speak about his book Radical Transformation: Oligarchy, Collapse, and the Crisis of Civilization. The program takes place at the Toronto Reference Library, in the Beeton Hall, at 7:00 pm.
Kevin MacKay is a sociology professor, union activist, and the Executive Director of a non-profit community development co-operative. He has spent many years researching and working in movements to create a sustainable future.
According to the publisher, Between the Lines "Radical Transformation is a story about industrial civilization's impeding collapse, and about the possibilities of averting this fate…the challenge facing us today is to build a movement that will radically transform civilization and once more align our evolutionary trajectory in the direction of democracy, equality and ecological sustainability."
