Book a Librarian!

Did you know you can sit down with a librarian to get questions answered at a time convenient to you?  New to the city or the country and need some guidance?  Whether looking for job search, ESL materials, genealogical information, homework help or a good book to read, the Book a Librarian service can help you.

Offered at North York Central Library, Toronto Reference Library and Urban Affairs Library, customers can book a free personalized appointment with a librarian for 30-60 minute.  No, this doesn't mean the librarians will write your essay for you, or find you a job, but they will show you how to go about doing it for yourself.

What are people saying about the service?

"Actually this session amazed me! The librarian was very pleasant and wonderful to learn the skills from.  The hour was well worth the time.  I enjoyed the session and came out with a wealth of information."

To book a librarian at North York Central Library, call 416-395-5672 (adults) or 416-395-5674 (teens); for the Toronto Reference Library call 416-393-7131 or 416-393-7209; and Urban Affairs Library call 416-397-7241.  You can also book a librarian via email at answerline@torontopubliclibrary.ca, or from our website at http://www.torontopubliclibrary.ca/book-a-librarian
