Guelph Public Library Rocks!
There was an exciting piece of Make Some Noise news in this weekend's Guelph Mercury. It would seem that our bibliographic bretheren at the Guelph Public Library are as
committed to violating noise rules as we are! This Friday (July 8) at 7:00 PM, rowdy teenagers will be taking over the top floor of the main branch for a multi-genre concert. (The Guelph P.L. also gave us here at the Toronto Public Library a sweet shout-out! Thanks Guelph).
The Guelph Public Library takes their independent music seriously. In addition to Friday's concert, the library has begun to build up a collection of recordings of local artists, which should be pretty impressive, given the considerable musical talent that the city has produced
(Guelph natives The Magic proved as much at a Make Some Noise Concert last year, and the bands Minotaurs and brides also hail from this fair metropolis). They've even created a special list of recordings by musicians at this year's Hillside Festival. How rad is that?
So if you're heading out of town this weekend, consider a pit stop in Guelph to Make Some Noise!
