Make Some Noise announces Fall 2013 season
TORONTO (Wednesday, October 16, 2013) – Toronto band Light Fires featuring Regina the Gentlelady will headline the Fall
2013 season of Toronto
Public Library's award-winning Make Some
Noise free concert and workshop series. Events start this Friday, October 18, 2013.

The Make Some Noise…Take Some Noise program brings the library's local music
collection of more than 1,000 CDs to life in the stacks of library
branches around the city. The initiative provides people of all ages an opportunity to
see Toronto’s hottest indie bands live for free at their local library
branches.

Alias Screening and Panel Discussion
Hip Hop MCs
from the Screwface Capital discuss the struggles of rising above the street in
this gritty and powerful documentary directed by Michelle Latimer. The
screening will be proceeded by a special showing of the
short film Trespassing directed by Toronto
MC Rich Kidd, as a part of the 2011 City
Life Program. The Alias screening will be followed by
a panel discussion led by Toronto Hip Hop scholar Dalton Higgins.
