The agency assists thousands of people with diverse needs including women, youth, newcomers to Canada, people with disabilities, those seeking a change in career, and the underemployed/unemployed. JVS Toronto was founded in 1947 to help returning war veterans and Holocaust survivors. The agency continues to emphasize education, career, employment,and rehabilitation counselling. JVS now serves all of Toronto with no limits on age, disability, faith, nationality, and racial origin.
