2011 United Way Campaign Kick-Off
The City of Toronto’s United Way Campaign kicked off on September 13, 2011 with an announced fundraising goal of $1,000,000. Pictured below are City Councillor and Deputy Mayor of Toronto Doug Holyday, Vice President of Resource Development at United Way Toronto Julia Gormon, UW Project Director Cal Scotchmer, and Toronto City Manager and United Way Employee Campaign Patron Joe Pennachetti.
TPL Staff members in attendance at the City Kick-off included TPL Co-Chairperson Debby Ng, Helen Ramires, Rita Deen, and Mary Mcdonald (see below).
The Toronto Public Library’s United Way Campaign kick-off took place on September 28, 2011. Co-Chairperson Debby Ng reported that the TPL launch “was a huge success. Maureen O'Reilly, Jane Pyper, and UW City of Toronto Project Director, Cal Scotchmer with Sponsored Employee James Marshall was there to give their utmost gratitude to everyone at TPL for making United Way a success year after year. A big pat on the back to you all!
