TRL News: $306 Raised at Artsy Garage Sale for United Way
Iana Georgieva-Kaluba (Librarian, Arts Department,
Toronto Reference Library) reported that the second biannual edition of the TRL
staff Artsy Garage Sale (held in the Arts Department workroom) raised $306 for
the 2012 United Way Campaign on November 28, 2012.
“…Thank you to all TRL staff (and even several
colleagues from branches) who donated items for the sale and then came in and
shopped!
Due to the limited time and very busy times at TRL - not all staff had a
chance to visit the sale. If we have an opportunity, we might try to hold a
sale again in two years.
We had a good time and people who attended had fun picking out glamourous
finds!…
I would like to thank our Arts department staff who
were kind and patient with the 'invasion' of our workroom space only days after
we moved into the workroom and hadn't even unpacked fully.
Special thanks go to Monika and Dawn who helped a lot with the setup and the
sale. And to Bill who priced the entire sale and started off the whole idea two
years ago…”

Thank
you to Iana and her team! “Without you, there would be no way!”
Thank you for supporting the 2012 United Way Campaign.
