An autobiography as episodes …
One cannot talk about Episodes: My Life As I See It, without
first mentioning something about the format of the book. The format of the book
is unique and adds to the appeal of the book. Blaze presents his autobiography
as a series of television episodes. Each series has a release date and cast
list. The series are further divided into episodes which have summaries,
quotes, trivia and soundtracks. For those familiar with the Internet Movie
Database, the book reads like an entry right out of the database.
In Episodes: My Life As I See It, Blaze provides an
autobiography of his life as a high-functioning autistic teenager. He recounts
various episodes in his life starting in freshman year of high school going
into the early college years. Some of the episodes are ongoing, such as
Thanksgiving Dinner, other are syndications and some have come to an end, such
as his crush on Hillary Duff. Reading the book it is easy to relate to Blaze;
after all he share many of the same concerns that any other person does, such
as friendships, crushes on celebrities, going to classes and trying to find a
girlfriend.
As I read the book, I could not help wonder when a T.V.
network would pick up the book and turn it into a television series. After all,
Blaze has done most of the work in creating the episodes…
So if you could turn your high school years into a
television series what would you call the five most interesting episodes?
Another book closely related to this is Raising Blaze
by Debra Ginsberg. Raising Blaze is Blaze’s mom’s memoir about her son.

If I could turn my high school years into a television series, It first of all wouldn’t be a recount because I’m not in high school yet, but a vision of the future.
I would call them:
-The Day when we go inside (the school)
-The Day I Aced all my tests
-The Day of No Tests to Ace
-The Day I got my Friend to read a book
-The Day I met new friends
:3 I just realized it’s hard to make titles …
If I turned my high school years into a television series the first five episodes would be called:
– Goodbye Summer, Hello School
– My New Friends are Super Stars
– What’s with the Teacher
– Cafeteria Food sucks
– Homework is a Waste of Time
Coming up with these titles were really hard… but FUN!!!:)
MY first 5 episodes would be called
1. take a deep breathe, walk through the doors, its the morning of your very first day.
2. so many people, some nice, some nasty….what to do?
3. FISRT HIGH SCHOOL CRUSH! 😉

(seriously, I got lost inside my school)

(yep! No matter what I did, it was always extreme. My high school was competitive!)

(well…I’ve done plenty of “firsts” in high school that I will NEVER do again in my life time)

(all the friends I made, the memories and (of course) the knowledge I gained, will last forever ^^)

(That pretty much is self explanatory. There are always beginnings I had to prepare for)

To be honest when I was typing up the original post, I could not come up with five titles…so I just left it out.
