After Eden by Helen Douglas

AfteredenAfter Eden by
Helen Douglas was a good read. Although it was slow-paced at the beginning and
it had a rushed ending, the interesting story will keep the readers glued to
the page. This book introduces us to Eden who is a girl living a normal life,
until she meets Ryan, who came from the future. The purpose of this risky
journey to the past is to change history and prevent earth from being destroyed
in the future years. Throughout the story, the two protagonists fall in love
all while saving basically everybody’s life. Though this storyline is very
cliché in my opinion, the fact that it’s written in such an intriguing way
makes up for it. This book starts off very slowly so I would only recommend
this book to readers that can persevere and keep going so that they would
actually make it to the middle of the book. Unlike the slow pace of the
beginning of this book, the ending was way too rushed. The ending was lacking
way too much detail and it didn’t make much sense at all considering the
situation the characters were in. Despite the fact that the beginning and the
ending wasn’t too well done, the story itself is very original and interesting.
I believe this book will become quite popular since most teenagers enjoy
reading interesting novels like these, since it’s defiantly very unique.
Amongst most teen books that involve vampires, angels, dystopian, etc, this book
will really stand out.

Pulse
Pulse by Patrick Carman

I just wanted to say
that i finished it and it was pretty good. I recommend it. I
love how this book is like a puzzle, the events are pieced together like a
puzzle! Also, i think that this author is awesome! The mix of dystopian and sci
fi.

  1. None of them sound particularly interesting. I wonder if there has a been a collective creative drain in the literary community.

  2. I have read a few books written by Patrick Carman and the stories were interesting. I would read and check out “Pulse”. The cover of the book, it reminds me of “Insurgent” of the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. Anyone else agree?
