The Magicians

I love books about magic but unfortunately I’ve already read through the Harry Potter series and most other Children and Teen series out there. 

If you’re like me and you’ve been there, read that etc… You will definitely appreciate The Magicians.

The story follows Quentin Coldwater, a genius high school student, who gets invited to attend a secret and highly prestigious school for magic.

It has been heralded as the adult Harry Potter, but I would have to say that it’s substantially darker and sober. 

While definitely a magical read filled with brilliant moments, it portrays the darker world of magic and readers should be aware that this is not your normal fairytale.
