I have enjoyed reading a remarkable book a while ago, it is Legend by Marie Lu. This book is set in the dystopian world of Los Angeles, where the action takes place. What I found quite fascinating is that the book is told from two perspectives, Day and June. They grew up with different beliefs and understandings of the world around them controlled by The Republic. Their world is very much like ours, separating rich from poor people.
Day grew up with his paren'ts in the poor sector with his three brothers, as June grew up with her paren'ts and a brother in a quite noble atmosphere. They are very different yet they still manage to find something in common — their hate for their government and its ways of secrecy. There are many secrets and mysteries that are yet to be revealed to Day and June, on their way to freedom, that turn their lives around, from the ways of their enemies and treason to close friends, and maybe more…
This book is filled with fascinating action that will lure you in, as well as moments where you would drop a tear, and moments where you would want to kill and get revenge for the characters that you grow to understand. This is the book filled with emotion and interesting content that would leave no one out in terms of its appeal.
