AMAZZZZZINNNG — ENDER’S GAME reviewed
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
Reviewed by Kaj
Ender's Game was the first sci-fi book I ever read and I finished the entire book in one sitting when I had a lot of assignments. I just could not help it because it was that good. I found it so rich and engaging, I just couldn't put it down at all. That's how amazing it was. The book is about intelligent children who are picked by the government, they are trained to be soldiers to fight against an alien race called the buggers. This book is about war, leadership and manipulation. The book shows how cruel adults can be because they use the children as tools for war. It has the greatest plot twist I ever read in my life. IT'S AMAZZZZZINNNG. O.MY.GOODNESS. You have to read this book if you have never read a sci-fi book. I recommend this to everyone.

I haven’t watched the movie or read the book.
Looking forward to doing both.
I’m not much of a sci-fi reader but it sounds like an amazing book!
I can’t help but feel the need to comment that for the fact that Kaj managed to read this book in one sitting is possible for people who really get into a book. I hate to say this though but I still haven’t read this book but it is on my “To Be Read” list along with thirty books or so that I still need to get to. I hope that I’ll be able to get to read this book this summer. If anyone has seen the movie that came out this year based on the book, do you think that it was a good adaptation?
The movie was good but wasn’t as satisfying as the book. This is because they left out many crucial scenes in the development of Ender as a soldier. It doesn’t have the same heart wrenching feeling of how Ender was treated in the book. The ending of the movie might be confusing for some viewers who never read the book. It would be better to read the book to understand the ending. It was also heavy on CGI instead of focusing on the mind games and the crucial planning of the battles. Nevertheless, I always like watching movie adaptations of the book so I could compare their differences and have discussions with my friends about it.
I agree with Kaj that the movie wasn’t as satisfying, however being able to see the air crafts and battle arenas come to life was pretty awesome. After reading Ender’s Game I would recommend the book Ender’s Shadow written by Orson Scott Card, which takes place in the same time, but takes on the view of the character Beans.
I just recently finished Ender’s Shadow and I was very astonished by how much contribution Bean had in Dragon Army and as a helper to Ender. Ender’s Shadow is certainly another phenomenal book if you want to know more about Bean’s past and his involvement in the Battle School.
The movie was okay, but wasn’t nearly as good as the book. The book itself is wonderful, as it has the sci-fi action in it, while the characters are captivating with their own personalitys and back story.
Definitely, I enjoyed the book much more than the movie, very disappointing to watch after the wonderfulness of the book.
Yes, compared to the book the movie was kinda disappointing, and yes Ender’s Shadow was great and Bean’s pov was awesome.
You should definitely read it! It’s amazing!!!
Yes!! the books are amazing!
The movie wasn’t bad…Just not as good at the book.
Haha I’m on the same boat when it comes to having 30 books on the “To Be Read” list and I just don’t have time to read them all XD
So many of the comments say that the movie was a disappointment compared to the book… well, there is hardly not many movies based on books that come out well 🙁
I couldn’t finish this book for some reason. It wasn’t even as if I wasn’t enjoying the book, i certainly was but around the last quarter of the book I just got bored. Which is weird… I liked it…. And then I didn’t. Didn’t bother finishing though I’ll probably pick it up again sometime later!
