Contest: AudioSplice v.3
What's an AudioSplice?
The Basics:
I've taken little snippets of a handful of songs and smashed them together into a sort of sonic puzzle for you to figure out. There is also a theme that links the songs somehow for you to work out, to help you along and make it a little more fun.
So what do you need to do? Listen carefully! Try to identify as many songs as you can, look for that link between them, and leave your guesses in comments. If no one is getting close after a couple of days, I may come back and leave a hint below…
Winners of book prizes will be the commenters who a) get the link and the most songs, and b) enter the most amusing guess at the link (even if they are wrong). And by amusing, I mean it amuses me. 😉
This Week's Puzzle:
Five Songs. One theme to link them. A few rules:
- In order to qualify to win this contest, you have to live in the city of Toronto.
- You have to provide a valid email address – otherwise we can't contact you to let you know you've won'the contest! We promise to keep your email confidential – for more information about this, see the privacy statement below.
- You have to have submitted your entry by Sunday, July 20th at 11:59 PM
GO!

I recognized the last bit which is Dark horse and I’m guessing that the link between the five songs or the theme is to have power/control over something?
The first is Eye of the Tiger by Survivor, and the last is Dark Horse by Katy Perry. Knowing only the two songs, I think the link between them is embracing your inner animal instinct…and that we all have the ability to become …animal-like and…stand strong…like William Golding proved in Lord of the Flies…??
1. Eye of the Tiver
2. —
3.–
4.The Fox
5. Darl Horse
*Eye of the Tiger
1. Eye of the Tiger
2. Song by Mariana’s Trenches
3. Mission Impossible Theme Song (Lalo Schifrin and John E. Davis)
4. The Fox
5. Dark Horse
The connection is to have fun and be wild, to really express who you are. Also, the connection is animals, its about animals and to observe everything just like animals. Humans are animals either way.
Eye of the Tiger
Song by Marianas Trenches
Mission Impossible Theme Song
The Fox
Dark Horse
I think the connection is to have fun be wild and hold nothing back.
1. Survivor – Eye of the Tiger
2. Barracuda – Heart
3. K-os – Crabbuckit
4. Ylvis – The Fox
5. Katy Perry – Dark Horse
The connection is that all 5 songs have an animal in the title. (Tiger, Barracuda, Crab, Fox, and Horse).
1. Eye of the tiger – survivor
2. Barracuda – heart
3. Crabbbuck – K-os
4. What does the fox say – Ylvis
5. Dark Horse – Katy Perry
The connection between all 5 songs are animal. Also, how we are empowered and have strength when we
connect with our inner spirit animal . When we connect with out inner animals we can do anything
and we have so much strength to overcome any situation.
The fox
Dark horse
Eye of the tiger

?
The connection between these, are animals, and how your “inner animal” makes you somewhat strong and different in what you do.
eye of the tiger by survivor, barracuda by heart, crabbuckit by k-os, the fox by ylvis and lastly dark horse by katy perry.
So I think the link between the five songs is to embrace your inner strength and “animal”. The songs tell us to be strong and shows us that there isn’t anything stronger than our inner animal and we should learn to control and manage it. Also it shows how powerful we are.
Hope this was amusing 😉
