  1. If I could have any power I would want the power to heal like Thom Creed in Hero (by Perry Moore). I would be able to heal physical wounds (broken legs, cuts), I could detect internal health problem (e.g.see when someone has cancer), and I would also be able to see people’s emotional problems (see a traumatic event that happened in the past). The power to HEAL would be AWESOME!!
P.S Hero by Perry Moore is a really great book too so if this power sounds interesting maybe you should check out the book!

  3. In Wake by Lisa McMann Janie has a unique power/curse in which she is able to view other people’s dreams; which I’ve got to say is kind of cool yet creepy too. The superpower that I would want would be more than one obviously. Although the top two that I’d want would be to be able to fly and read minds. Okay speaking reality wise everyone knows humans can’t fly unless of course your on a plane or etc. But it has always been my dream to fly; just fly freely into the sky without any weight on my minds. I would love to see the geese fly past me and the spectacular view as I’m storming up high into the sky. It would be a dream come true to be friends with the moon and lets not forget taking a ride on Saturn’s rings, and as I go around and around I would sing in such great harmony because my joy couldn’t be expressed in the simplicity of a sentence or two. Another superpower I would die to have would be reading minds. Oh my heavens wouldn’t it be amazing to find out what your friends and family think about you in their head. Or to win a spelling bee for once with reading the judges mind! These are the two most superpowers I would love to have and if I had to choose one between the two it would definitely be flying powers, because after all as the moon’s bestie I can’t keep him waiting as we are both going to light up the sky at night.

  4. There are so very many super powers and I would love to have most of them! So, I think the superpower I would want is to ‘borrow’ powers from other super-powered people. Like, if I encounter someone with super-speed, as long as they let me touch them or something, I would have super-speed as well! That would be totally awesome because I would have so many powers and it would be incredibly amazing! If I had that, though, I would definitely scavenge out the person with the photographic memory or a great memory as I need to remember what’s which character’s last name and all of that in books because when you have a hundred different worlds in your head, it’s hard to remember all of the characters, concepts and details!
    I would love that!

  5. If I remember correctly, Janie could glimpse into other people’s dreams. I read this trilogy such a long time ago hehe ^__^ but the story was definitely one of my hundreds of favourite books.
Hmmm… If I had superpowers it would probably be Elsa’s, from Frozen. Just to clear things up,it’s not because I love Elsa so much that I want her superpowers. Don’t be mistaken I love Elsa and the entire cast of frozen but I thought of those powers first. hehe. Ever since I was a child, I was a kid who valued fantasy so much that I would day dream having powers… And yeah you guys probably already know what superpowers I’m talking about. It is none other than The Power of Ice!!! Don’t judge, having ice powers was a pretty cool thing for me back then. I would always imagine skating on the ice paths I would make in mid air. I know it’s pretty out there but hey that is me and my imagination. I still wish that I could have those superpowers though… life would be so much exciting. And it would be so handy for summer lol.

  6. In Wake by Lisa McMann Janie has the involuntary power which thrusts her into others’ dreams. She starts to get nauseous and feels like she is sick when this happens.
A super power, I would say is quite unique to have is a power from a short story called “What are the Odd?” by David Taub. In that story, the hero’s super power was named “a probability flux degeneration field.” It is the ability to spontaneously cause “a bizarre stream of coincidences” which deposit the hero in the right place at the right time. Sort of like slipping on a banana peel and foiling a bank robbery, completely by accident.
Another power I think is interesting is to bring inanimate objects to life. For example, making a rotten apple ripe again or reviving a dead person. This would be a helpful power to help solve murders mysteries and allow people to contact their loved ones who passed away.

  7. If I could have any superpower, I would choose Telekinesis which is the ability to move objects with your mind. Quite a number of book characters have had this superpower but the charater that I am basing this on is Matt from the Power of Five Series. Why I would choose this power is because it is so useful when I’m restrained and physically incapable of doing something. For example, if someone ties up my hands and legs or tries to give me a lethal injection, I can still escape. Telekinesis is also great for when I want to lift extremely heavy objects to block entrances from enemies. It can also be handy for when I’m lazy and don’t want to do anything because all I have to do is focus, and item is there. Finally, it is great for revenge. I mean, I wouldn’t want to do them too much harm… just maybe a couple of broken bones and bruises… And the great thing is, they wouldn’t have any proof or evidence. However, I would only do that at my last resort, when it becomes clear that they went too far with the torment and the hatred. When I see, noone can do anything about it, except me. That is what I would do, if I had Telekinesis as my superpower.

  8. Well, I think Janie has the power to see other people’s dream.
If I had a power it would be the power of deduction
That is the power where I can deduct anything like I’m Sherlock Holmes, oh how my life would be great, I can pretend to be a mind reader while looking at a person, I can make people like me and hate me at the same time by my deduction. It would be awesome when I like someone I deduct the good stuffs from them and when I hate someone I literally deduct all the secrets away. By my super cool science of deduction I can get someone to spill their secrets without even talking to them. I can avoid bad luck deducting the situation . Ohhhhhh and don’t forget, many people will listen to me cause I can deduct them without controlling them.
De duck de duck Kacha, I deducted that I am living in a world full of undeduction which is soooo boring.
Yeah so, I finished promoting my sales

I’d choose the power to teleport. It’s rather showy, but I could hide in a closet when I do it; it would save me an hour of commuting each day at school; and I could teleport into the library to read even when it’s closed 😀 as long as I’m sufficiently sneaky about it.

  10. Janie has the power to see other people’s dreams. While I think her super power is unusual and unique, there are some bad effects from using it – like looking into other peoples’ subconscious for problems. Her superpower does not sound like my cup of tea. It would sap up my energy to look into someone’s dream and have something like inception happen to me. Yikes.
I’d rather choose the superpower to heal myself and other people. Just this week, I sliced my finger really deep with a bread knife and the red blood just wouldn’t stop gushing. I immediately washed my finger under running water, but that didn’t help the pain. My finger felt like it was throbbing for an hour. I have a piano exam in two weeks and the fact that I am not able to play for several days is hurting me, lol (you would imagine that I am ecstatic having an excuse not to play). With my superpower, I think I’d help myself when I cut myself with my butterfingers (darn knives). Plus, I’d be able to cure my grandma from her back pains.
Plus, I can’t stand blood. I almost fainted when I saw a video of someone in a car crash. The gore was too graphic. I’d be able to save many lives. too. But I think I wouldn’t want to be able to bring back the dead. What could anyone do with rotting skin and bones? Surely I said “healing” and not “reviving” superpowers, didn’t I? I love my grandma as much as I love the romance books she reads, but sometimes when it’s time for a person to leave, it would be nice to let them leave in the most painless way possible. That’s where my healing superpower would be happy to help.

I think I would like to have super-senses. This way I’ll still be a regular human, with just enhanced senses. I’d like to smell more better, see more precisely, listen more intently, speak more profoundly, and feel more deeply. This way I won’t be changing how the world works, but I’ll be able to heighten my experiences and learn to make the most out of it.
