The prize for this contents is a complete hardcover set of the "Hunger Games" trilogy. So breathe in deep and prepare yourself for this skill testing question:

The library has a branch named S. Walter Stewart. What does the first initial "S" stand for?

(and no cheating and calling the branch and asking – they have been told not to divulge)

A couple of rules:

  1. Only one entry per person
  2. You have to comment by 11:59 PM on Friday July 20th 2012 to be eligible to win.
  3. Make sure to fill in your email, or else we can't contact you to let you know you've won!

Good Luck, Word Out fans!

  4. The S stands for Super Why. Because the kids show Super Why!) explores literature, so they named it after Super Why Walter Stewart for teaching kids about reading!

  8. Servitor Walter Stewart, named after Servitor Walter Stewart, since he served on the East York Public Library Board from establishment to death.
By the way, servitor means: a person who serves or attends on a social superior, wich was the library board. And incase if you’re wondering, Stewart is the first chair of the East York Library Board.

  10. I know the prize has to do with “The Hunger Games,” but I must acknowledge another great series. The “S” stands for Severus. Severus Walter Stewart.

  11. S stands for Sons of!
Walter Stewart wanted to acknowledge his bookwormish sons and other future literary connoisseurs (including females, though it wasn’t the style to highlight that in the official names of libraries back then!).
Plus it makes an undeniably charming haiku, especially if you imagine-hear some background symphony music:
    Oh Sons of
    Walter Stewart
    Library!

  13. The “S.” stands for “Sorry-I-only-remember-the-first-letter-of-my-first-name-but-hopefully-there-won’t-be-a-contest-in-the-nearby-future-about-guessing-my-first-name”
I thought I posted this a few days earlier, but I didn’t see my comment anywhere 🙁
