  2. The wildest, noisiest, and most shocking scandal of this millennium has to be when Justin Timberlake rips off part of Janet Jackson’s outfit during their LIVE performance in the Super Bowl XXXVIII (38th) halftime show. This ignominy occurs as Justin Timberlake recites the final line of his song: “I’m gonna have you naked by the end of this song”. Nudity was exposed to millions of viewers around the world, including children. Later on, this incident was referred to as a “wardrobe malfunction”. This scandal led to a great deal of controversy, complaints and lawsuits, ultimately changing media broadcasting forever.

  3. Most scandalous celebrity goes to Lady Gaga, hands down! After wearing that meat dress at the 2010 MTV Music Video Awards, she really has proven 50 pounds of raw beef/steak or “caution” CSI tape can be worn as a legitimate attire. Her dress was described as “most outrageous fashion moment” of the evening. What will Gaga try on next? A mermaid tail? Hah, wait she’s done that too in her “You and I” music video!

Why wouldn’t Gaga go down in history, she’s so bold and unexpected!

  5. The wildest, noisiest and most shocking scandal of the millennium has to be when Selena Gomaz mocked Lady Gaga at MTV EMAs. As she wore Lady Gaga’s most famously odd head gear, a ping poodle wig. This not only shocked viewers but Lady Gaga herself as well.

  7. So I was sitting on the couch, watching the news ’cause I was bored. All of the sudden, the headline pops up: The Charlie Sheen Implosion.
    I was like, what?!
I mean, most celebrity scandals have something to do with the, uh, garments, they were wearing when appearing in public, or, in some cases, not wearing at all. Not some sort of crazy meltdown.
Apparen’tly Charlie Sheen had one of his infamous meltdowns, and during the process, he violently destroyed a room at the Plaza Hotel, behaved rudely to his boss, and called his founding father a name that I will not repeat.
I say it’s the most scandalous ’cause you would never expect someone like Sheen to do that. His personality on T.V. that was seemed to be so realistic doesn’t to fit into his personality in reality at all.
On the other hand, with celebrities like Lady Gaga, you’re pretty sure that their next outfit is going to be crazy and possibly exposing some…parts here and there. There’s obviously going to be some mean rivalry between celebrities too, and sooner or later, the meaness goes public.
My thoughts about Sheen, although he has improved now, have been throughly changed.
BTW: If any fans of Charlie Sheen or Lady Gaga got offended, I apologize sincerely.

  8. A scandal is an event usually (but not always) involving a popular figure that is so outrageous that it shocks a whole nation, or even the world! The scandals posted so far are terrific examples (great job everyone!), yet a big news story should be okay as well if there was a component that made it a little unusual and caused people to take notice of the event. Most scandals end up being HUGE news stories.

  9. Tiger Woods Scandal
Woods was a golf legend with a perfect image but when his news about his extramarital affairs broke out-he went into hiding! The news broke out in November but continued with new updates for 6 months. One long and BIG scandal!!!!

  10. Most celebrity scandals are about relationships and money, like Kim Kardashian’s breakup with her husband of something like a month, which was really stupid. People like her seem to create headlines by means of the attention they already have, for the very purpose of gaining more attention, in an obscure cycle…This is the type of scandal that I think will continue to be played out, by all sorts of different celebrities, for the next few hundred years. Just like Lady Gaga replaced Gwen Stefani’s niche in the music world (remember her?), those types of celebrity scandals seem to step into the same patterns over and over again.
When it comes to really significant celebrity scandals, however, I think the release of government documents by Wikileaks is a much more memorable sort of scandal because it was a turning point in affirming the power of information technology. Given our attachment to gadgetry, this event will become a scandal of significance that we will have productive reasons to look back on.

  11. I think the celebrity scandal belongs to the Korean band, T-ARA, which broke up because of bullying and exclusion of a band member. A controversy began once T-ARA members were seen harassing another member, via Twitter after a concert in Japan. Tweets towards Hwayoung, who was injured, put into a wheelchair and later kicked out of the group, were seen by fans as “bullying” and ostracism. T-ARA lost 6,000 members of the official fan club, companies cut contacts and products were removed (which had their faces on it). Now, the controversy isn’t just stained within the music industry – school paren’ts, entertainment industry officials, and K-Pop fans have appeared expressing anger over the girls’ influence towards society.
What kind of company haggardly announces to the public that “members’ Twitter accounts have all been hacked” even though members tweeted on the same day? The wildest scandal should belong to this one – where the explanations just don’t add up.

  12. As soccer, fans celebrated the victory of the Japanese women’s soccer squad last year. That’s just the happy news but there’s a notorious scandal this year. It appears to be that when they were travelling by plane to go for the Olympics in London, the strong Japanese women were squeezed into economy seats for 12 hours while the not so successful men’s soccer squad were treated like
Royalties. They were in the business class! How sexist and corrupted is that! that’s very discriminative! It’s very sad that WOMEN are not acknowledged as strong female athletes to this day. Society thinks that ”Women” and ”Athletics” doesn’t mix or is a clashing peculiar combination. When it comes to media, sports, politics, etc, women are still being unacknowledged as strong females.

  13. Chris Brown Beats Rihanna on February 8, 2009, the night of the 51st Grammy Awards
The two reportedly began fighting in Brown’s rented Lamborghini when Brown received a text message from another woman after leaving Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party late Saturday. Rihanna was found with a black eye, split lip, bloody nose and bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers.
I think this was one of the wildest scandals because we have two very talented celebrities who are have been dating for so long that they haven’t established a good sense of trust. Even after this event occurred the two have still be going out together as if nothing ever happened.
