I just finished reading Paolo Bacigalupi’s new book The Drowned Cities. It is a great follow-up to Ship Breaker. Really worth reading, if you like science fiction!
I know once, I get started on anything by Haruki Murakami, there’s no stopping. Kafka on the Shore is AMAZING, especially if you like finders of lost cats, magical realism, and psychedelic twists. I still think about this book, it will give you strange dreams. Recommend!
Fifth Business is often considered one of the greatest books ever written. It consists of everything you want in a book: comedy, action, adventure, romance, and suspense. The literary devices and narrative technique used by Davies truly makes this novel a masterpiece. Every chapter is a cliff-hanger and it’s hard to put the book down once you have started it. Another cool fact is that this book was written by a Canadian! Fifth Business is undoubtedly a classic of English literature.
I just read Anya’s Ghost, I think it’s in the summer books. It was really great! I recommend it if you like graphic novels, stories about surviving high school, and especially ghosts. This ghost becomes friends with anya, but then starts getting a little too bossy. The drawing style was really great too.
A girl named digit by Annabel Monaghan
-This book was really good. I haven’t read a good “spy” books in a while after I finished reading the Gallagher girl series by Ally Carter.
-Any books by Sarah Dessen are amazing.
Try “Airborn”, “Being Nikki”, and “Runaway”, by Meg Cabot. Get filled with suspense, mystery, and love! Plus, it’s a complete and short series, so you don’t have to wait forever for the next book to come out, or read so many books just to find out the ending!!! Hooray!!!
sorry, I sound like a commercial 🙂

Fifth Business by Robertson Davies. One of the best books I’ve ever read. It’s simply amazing!
Holy smokes, Ninjoe, I just read the synopsis – it’s so dystopian, I’ll have to check it out.
I’m not super familiar with R. Davies – what’s the best part about Fifth Business? or R. Davies?
