Girl v. Boy by Yvonne Collins and Sandy Rideout

Girlvboy "All is fair in love, war, and high school journalism."  This quote simply cannot be more true in the case of Yvonne Collins and Sandy Rideout’s teen novel, Girl v. Boy.  As proud students (yeah, right) of the most prestigious school in the neighbourhood (pfffffft), it becomes Luisa Perez’s responsibility to write an anonymous column about the school’s Literacy Campaign.  Luisa loves writing, and the fact that the column is anonymous ensures her freedom to write whatever she likes under the name Newshound – only, there’s a catch.  Her male counterpart and co-columnist, a.k.a. Scoop – has very different opinions about seemingly everything.  And needless to say, the topic of the "Literacy" column soon strays far from literacy and into the dark realms of gender debates.

WARNING: This is an impossible-to-put-me-down book — read only if prepared to live with it attached to your hands for the next few days.
