Summer

Summer school is finally over for me, the absolute OFFICIAL last day!
I get to pick up my report card. Intense Gr. 11 Math for about 4 weeks
is an experience that I will never forget (just imagine doing math from
9:00am to 3:15pm.) Well, on the other hand, one easy credit earned! I am
very lucky to have a great teacher and a great class. It’s actually kind
of sad, because I have to say bye to my bunch of new friends. We all go
to different schools which are miles and miles apart. I am pretty sure that
we will meet again someday! Enough blabbering about school, IT’S FINALLY SUMMER HOLIDAY FOR ME !

To celebrate, I had a barbeque feast yesterday. It was truly a feast.
My stomach was more than stuffed after. Let me recite what was on the menu:

Appetizers
– toasted almond and walnut with honey glaze
– mozzarella and cheddar cheese slices
– ‘veggie sticks’ (cucumber, carrot, red pepper, green pepper, and yellow pepper)
– salad with mayonnaise (potato, egg, apple, and pineapple chucks)
– cherries and mangoes
– toasted baguettes with melted cheddar cheese

Main course
– honey garlic chicken wings and drumsticks
– grilled fish fillets, sausages, steaks, oysters and clams

Dessert
– Chinese sweet red bean soup
– apple streusel
– coffee

That was a long list. And yes, I ate all of that. It was so delicious. I am drooling over it right now. I am starting to get hungry since I am thinking about food. Let’s move on. I am sure that many of you have heard of Stephanie Meyer and her amazing novels. Guess what…I preordered the upcoming novel “Breaking Dawn” It is supposed to be the last book in the series. There is going to be a midnight masquerade event this Friday August 1st. Unfortunately, I can’t go because my friends aren’t into Stephanie Meyer. I just can’t wait to get my hands on this new book !!!!!  In the meantime, I am reading “Just A Couple of Days” by Tony Vigorito. I’ve tried to finish reading this book before. Not that it’s a bad book or anything; it’s just that I don’t understand it at all. It’s probably because of its topic on biotech. It’s supposed to have a bit of humor, but it’s not at my level. However, the writing style is impressive. It is very unique. I guess I will continue reading the book and see how it will turn out.
