Bridlewood Branch – 35 Years Young!
On Thursday, May 26, past and present library staff gathered to celebrate the Bridlewood Branch's 35th anniversary by opening its Millennium Time Capsule. The event happened in Bridlewood Mall's Centre Court with past staff reminiscing on past photos, brochures, news clippings and a punch hole library card as they took out artefacts collected back before 2000. Two staff members also donated their time to create a slide show to showcase how much the library and the community has changed over the past 35 years. Since the day also happened to be one of Bridlewood Mall's special event days, the Mall has generously donated light refreshment and coffee to celebrate the occasion.

I used to work at Bridlewood, when it was upstairs in the mall! I worked with Saeeda, Usha, and Teresa, amongst others. I left in 1994. It was a fun branch. :o)
