Culture: coming to a Library branch near you!
Culture is closer than you think! Culture Days is coming to communities big and small right across Canada, Ontario and the GTA from September 28-30 with something for everyone and all ages. Here are a few Culture Days events taking place at Library branches in the Scarborough area:
- Morningside Branch presents a Showcase of Artists on Sept. 29th 2-4pm.
- Take in some Indian Martial and Performance Artists at Highland Creek on Sept. 27th 1-2pm
- Make Your Own Accordian-Style Book at Bridlewood Branch on Sept. 29th 1:30-3:30pm
- Learn about Wildlife Wood Carving and Painting at McGregor Park on Sept. 29th 2-4pm
- Check out Belly Dance at either Highland Creek on Sept. 28th 1-2pm or Agincourt on Sept. 29 10:30-11:30am.
- Discover Web Comics at Malvern Branch on Sept. 29th 2-4pm
- Explore Origami at Albert Campbell Branch on Sept. 29th 2-5pm
- Try out Felting at Taylor Memorial Branch on Sept. 28th 2-3pm
- Mukwa Learns to Dance at Maryvale Library on Sept. 28th 1-2pm
- Experience Eagle Thunder: Songs of Hope with Shannon Thunderbird and Friends at Kennedy/Eglinton Branch on Sept. 29th 2-3:30pm
