Playwright David French died over the weekend at the age of 71.

Leaving home     Salt-water moon    Jitters a play

He is best known for his Mercer trilogy, the story of an ordinary Newfoundland family and their difficult  adjustment to Toronto urban life.   He had a long association with the Tarragon Theatre Company and with director Bill Glassco.

We normally only hear an author's voice through his work.  But with YouTube we can hear David French speak directly about his writing.
