Canadian Playwright David French dies.
Playwright David French died over the weekend at the age of 71.
He is best known for his Mercer trilogy, the story of an ordinary Newfoundland family and their difficult adjustment to Toronto urban life. He had a long association with the Tarragon Theatre Company and with director Bill Glassco.
We normally only hear an author's voice through his work. But with YouTube we can hear David French speak directly about his writing.

Thank you for the Mercer trilogy and all other books etc written
Canada cannot afford to lose its own authors.
