General auditions call for One Song Glory:  a free musical theatre training program for teens age 13- 19 (Acting Up Stage Company)

Note:  The Arts Department, 5th floor of the Toronto Reference Library has an extensive musical theatre collection from which a workshop participant of One Song Glory training program can select their audition piece.

One Song Glory is a free musical theatre training program for teens age 13 to19 across Ontario.

Our commitment to building the audiences and artists of tomorrow is focused around our musical theatre training program. Each year, up to forty five 13-19 year-olds from diverse backgrounds and communities across Ontario come together to train under the guidance of Toronto’s top musical theatre professionals in a positive and encouraging environment.

This year, in addition to the month-long training intensive that will take place in the fall, we are bringing a series of one-day One Song Glory workshops into communities outside of the Toronto Downtown core. Workshop participants will be eligible to be invited to our free 4-week training intensive.

Our program is founded on two principals:

  1. The focus, determination and self-discipline that theatre requires, builds character and is of lasting value; and
  2. That this is a no cost program; affordability is not a barrier to participation.

We are proud to report that to date, over 400 young people from across the province have completed One Song Glory, without any costs to the participants.
